Some of the 21 massive crystal chandeliers are seen here to good advantage. The broad vaulted nave seats 850 persons in air conditioned comfort with no visual obstruction owing to the elimination of traditional columns. Brilliant trilogies of the Crucifixion and Resurrection cover both transept walls. On the far left stand the bronze baptismal font and the pulpit. On the far right are the Bishop's throne and the Epitaphios, an elaborately carved baldachino symbolizing the Holy Sepulcher, used during Good Friday services.
